We the People Indiana is a grassroots organization that was founded by James and Lisa Deaton in February 2009. We are an ever growing group of like-minded patriots. We the People Indiana believes in the principles that were laid out by the founding fathers. The organization believes in fighting issues and policies not people or parties. The organization is blessed with an advisory board that helps with all organizational responsiblities. We the People Indiana has gathered for the Huckpac, We Surround Them and most recently the Tax Day Tea Party, all in Columbus, Indiana.

We the People are committed to the following:
- We follow the principles and ideas that the founding fathers placed in the original Constitution
- We believe in small government
- We believe in fiscal responsibility
- We believe in personal responsibility
- We believe in accountability for all of our elected officials
- We believe the people have the power and the responsibility to take an active role in securing this country for future generations
- We believe that the government works for the people
- We believe in the rights of each state in our union
- We believe that the government is an agent to the states
